I was at the right place at the right time on Mother’s Day afternoon. I was at the park with my family, eager to try out my new Nikon D3200 as mentioned in my previous post.
Just before we decided to leave the park, we witnessed a simple wedding of a young couple at the picturesque setting. The priest, the couple, and two witnesses were the entire wedding party. The solemnization had taken place and they were happily taking pictures of each other with smartphones.
Because I had the real deal with me, I offered them a few good shots and got hold of the bride’s email to send her the results. It was part of my first attempt on the D3200 so I hope you enjoy these shots. I also made a black and white for her; I know some people like the vintage feel of it.
Okay, I know. It’s not that great. It was my first day of having fun with D3200. Over the past few days, I actually studied up a little on the details of aperture, ISO, shutter speed, and how the camera’s modes work. I am heavily relying on the Photography Cheatsheet as my crash course on photography.
Stay tuned for the next entry of more pictures taken of my girl and her buddy. I’ve been using them as my little models to practice. Let’s hope that practice makes perfect!
